What is a condensing turbine?

A condensing turbine is a mechanical device that extracts thermal energy from pressurized steam from Power Boilers and converts the thermal energy into rotary motion. Condensing turbines "exhaust" the steam from the boiler(s) in a partially condensed state at a pressure below atmospheric then the steam is sent to a condenser.
